Terms of use
The agreement between you and Fablebee.
What Fablebee is
Fablebee is a personalised audio-story service. You tell us who a story is for and what it should be about, and we produce a narrated audio story for you to listen to with your child.
Stories are AI-generated and narrated by a synthetic voice.
Each story is an audio file you play in your web browser. You need an internet connection to make a story and to play one from your library. There is no app to install.
A story you download is an ordinary MP3. It plays in any normal audio player on your own device, offline, and it keeps working — we add no copy protection to it. Playing a story from your library here is different: that we control, and the next section says how.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over and the parent or guardian of any child you add. Children do not have accounts and never sign in.
One account is for one household. Please do not share your sign-in details.
Your stories
The stories you create are yours to listen to and to download for personal, family use.
While your plan is active you can play and download every story in your library. If your plan ends, your library is kept but playback stops — except for the stories you made with your free stories or with stories you bought outright, which keep playing for twelve months from the day each one was made.
When a plan ends, playback stops. A link your device had already fetched keeps working for up to an hour after that.
Any file you have already downloaded remains yours to keep on your own device.
Please do not sell, publish or distribute stories commercially.
Free trial
New accounts include three free stories. You can make them at either of the two shorter lengths; the longest stories need a plan or a pack. There is no time limit on using them and no card is required.
Every story we generate counts towards that total, including a second attempt at a story you did not like.
What things cost
Three stories are free when you join. After that there are two ways to carry on, and you can use either or both.
A monthly plan: Bedtime is £3.99 a month for 4 stories, Storytime is £5.99 for 7, and Storyteller is £6.99 for 10. A plan renews automatically each month on the same date and continues until you cancel it. Stories refresh on your billing date each month and do not roll over to the next one.
Or stories bought outright: 2 stories for £3.99, or 5 for £6.99. These never expire, they are not tied to a plan, and you keep them if you cancel.
Every length of story is included on every plan and every pack — a twenty-five minute story counts the same as a three minute one. When you have more than one kind of story available we use your plan stories first, because those are the ones that expire.
You can move between monthly plans at any time from your account. The change takes effect immediately, your billing date does not move, and the difference in price is settled on your next bill rather than charged straight away — which also means your new number of stories arrives on your next billing date, not the day you switch. If you need a story before then, a pack works immediately.
Prices are shown in pounds and include UK VAT. If you are buying from outside the United Kingdom, Onelink will usually convert the price and show you the amount in your own currency before you pay, with any local sales tax included, at a rate it sets rather than one we set. Where that does not happen you are charged in pounds and your bank converts at its own rate. Either way your card issuer may add a charge of its own.
VAT is accounted for by Onelink as the seller of record for the transaction.
Your right to cancel
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from your account page. It runs to the end of the month you have already paid for and is not charged again.
You normally have 14 days to change your mind about something bought online. Because a plan starts giving you stories the moment you pay, we ask you to confirm two things before you pay: that you want it to start straight away, and that you understand this means you give up that 14-day right for this purchase. Both are recorded with the date and time. You can still cancel the plan itself whenever you like.
Stories bought outright are different. Until you use one, nothing has been supplied — so you keep the full 14-day right. If you have not used any story from a pack, tell us within 14 days of buying it and we will refund it in full.
To cancel, tell us in any clear way. An email to help@fablebee.com is easiest, but any unambiguous statement will do, and you can use the form below if you prefer. You only need to send it before the 14 days are up.
Cancellation form
You do not have to use this form — any clear statement will do — but it is here if you want it.
Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel the contract.
To InferShift AI Solutions Limited, 6 Croft Down Road, Solihull, England, B92 9BD, help@fablebee.com:
I/We hereby give notice that I/We cancel my/our contract for the supply of the following service,
Ordered on / received on,
Name of consumer(s),
Address of consumer(s),
Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper),
Date.
Delete "I" or "we" as appropriate.
Refunds
If something goes wrong with a story, the credit is returned automatically and you are not charged for it. That is not a refund — it is the story never having counted.
If our safety check keeps refusing what you are asking for and another credit is no use to you, tell us and we will refund you instead.
Beyond the cancellation right above, we will refund a payment where the service has not worked as it should. Email help@fablebee.com and tell us what happened.
One thing you should know because it is unusual: our payment provider can decide to refund a payment to you on its own, without asking us, for up to 60 days after you paid.
If that happens the money goes back to your card and any stories from that payment you have not yet used are withdrawn. Stories you have already made stay in your library. If only part of a payment is refunded, nothing is withdrawn.
Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer under UK law.
Who you are buying from
Fablebee is operated by InferShift AI Solutions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 16315093), whose registered office is at 6 Croft Down Road, Solihull, England, B92 9BD. The company was previously called CogniForce Ltd, and that is still the name you will see when you pay. We are who you are contracting with, who holds your data, and who to contact about anything at all.
Payment is handled by Onelink, who act as the seller of record for the transaction itself. Your receipt comes from them, and your card statement will show the words ONELINK and COGNIFORCE — the name our company used to trade under — rather than Fablebee. Banks shorten long descriptions, so the exact line you see may be abbreviated. It is the same purchase, and we can see it and help with it.
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from your account page. Onelink also emails you a link to manage your order with each receipt.
If our prices change
We may change the price of a monthly plan if our own costs change or if the law requires it. If we do, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
A price change never affects stories you have already bought, and never applies to a month you have already paid for.
What we will not produce
Every story is checked automatically against safety rules written for young children once it is written and before it is turned into audio. If a story does not pass that check we will not send it, and the story credit is returned to your account.
If you think we were wrong to refuse a story, email help@fablebee.com and a person will look at it.
Please do not use Fablebee to attempt to produce content that is harmful, hateful, sexual, or that concerns a real person who is not part of your household.
When things go wrong
Sometimes a story fails to generate. When that happens the credit is returned automatically and you can try again.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the stories we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose we have described, and as described. If a story is not, you can ask us to put it right — we will remake it, and if we cannot, you can have some or all of your money back. That is your legal right, and nothing in these terms takes it away or makes you jump through hoops for it.
If anything we supply damages your device or your other files because we did not take reasonable care, we will repair the damage or compensate you.
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under UK law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Everything goes straight away and it cannot be undone.
Deleting also ends any monthly plan there and then, so you will not be charged again — but we cannot give back the rest of a month you have already paid for, and any stories you bought outright and have not used go with the account. If you only want to stop paying, cancel the plan instead: that keeps your purchased stories and lets the month you have paid for run out.
If we have to suspend your account
If we think an account is being used in breach of these terms, we will tell you what the problem is and give you 7 days to reply before we suspend anything.
We may act immediately, without waiting, only where we have to in order to protect a child or to comply with the law.
If we end your account and it was not your fault, we will refund the rest of the month you have paid for and any stories you bought and have not used.
If we ever have to close Fablebee
Stories you have bought have no expiry date while Fablebee is running. If we ever have to close the service we will give you at least 60 days’ notice, let you download everything in your library during that time, and refund any stories you have bought and not used.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email help@fablebee.com and tell us what happened. We will look into it and come back to you. If you are unhappy with how we have dealt with it, say so in reply and it will be looked at again.
We are not a member of any alternative dispute resolution scheme.
For anything about your or your child’s data specifically, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk at any time. You do not have to come to us first.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you can bring a claim in your own local courts, and nothing here takes away the protection of the consumer laws of the country you live in.
